A metal stamping company needed to replace outdated transporters previously sourced from another vendor. Their facility required equipment capable of moving extremely heavy dies across a basement-supported floor without overloading it. Safety, operator visibility, and system reliability were critical requirements.

The Solution

Align engineered a 130,000 lb capacity flatbed transporter with a wide wheelbase and multiple idler wheels to distribute floor loading so that no parts of the floor are damaged. Designed for remote control use with the potential AGV upgrades, the transporter integrated several safety options:Ā 

  • Directional lighting and pedestrian warning zones with red perimeter lights.Ā 
  • Safety scanners with zones programmed to stop the transporter if object or person enters the zone.Ā
