High-Capacity Flatbed Transporter Redefines Safety in Die Handling
Case Study
A metal stamping company required a new heavy-capacity transporter for its stamping facility to handle dies up to 130,000 lbs. Align Production Systems delivered a flatbed transporter equipped with cutting-edge safety, load distribution, and operator-assist features.

āBy combining robust engineering with new safety technologies, we developed a transporter that can handle extreme loads while keeping operators fully protected.ā

A metal stamping company needed to replace outdated transporters previously sourced from another vendor. Their facility required equipment capable of moving extremely heavy dies across a basement-supported floor without overloading it. Safety, operator visibility, and system reliability were critical requirements.
Align engineered a 130,000 lb capacity flatbed transporter with a wide wheelbase and multiple idler wheels to distribute floor loading so that no parts of the floor are damaged. Designed for remote control use with the potential AGV upgrades, the transporter integrated several safety options:Ā
- Directional lighting and pedestrian warning zones with red perimeter lights.Ā
- Safety scanners with zones programmed to stop the transporter if object or person enters the zone.Ā
- Non-slip Slipknot deck surface so dies donāt move during transport.Ā
- Spring-loaded top to cushion die placement and extend life of transporter.Ā
- Slide-out battery trays for quick replacement.Ā
This transporter delivers a dependable solution for moving heavy dies while protecting both the facility and its operators. Its engineered design distributes weight to prevent floor damage, while the Slipknot surface and spring-loaded top improve stability during loading. Integrated lighting and scanners enhance visibility and awareness, giving operators greater confidence in day-to-day use. Early feedback shows that the system not only improves efficiency but also reduces the risk of workplace injuries.
