Your Load, Your Floor—Custom Engineered Equipment

Your Load, Your Floor—Custom Engineered Equipment

When an off-the-shelf machine can’t handle the loads, floor plan, or safety requirements, we design and build exactly what your operation needs. Our team designs custom-engineered equipment with practical shop-floor experience to deliver a solution that moves high-capacity industrial loads with control, repeatability, and safety—while fitting your footprint, people, and process.

The Design-Build Process

1) Define the problem, not just the specs

We begin with a field-level understanding of your operation: load types and sizes, floor conditions, building layout, safety rules, operator skills, maintenance constraints, and integration points with existing equipment or software. This upfront work cuts rework, avoids change orders, and keeps the schedule on track.

2) Design Engineering

We translate your requirements into a buildable design. That includes detailed analysis to validate frames and lift points, right-sizing motors and drives for the cycle time, modeling air-bearing or wheel-based transport to match your loads and floor, completing safety risk assessments to relevant standards, and producing layout drawings to confirm fit, clearances, and traffic flow—all so the design is ready for fabrication and the build phase.

3) Controls, safety, and integration

We design controls to match your operators and environment—ranging from simple pendants to advanced automation with scanners, lights, and PLC connectivity. We focus on easy-to-use operator screens, safety circuits that drive stack lights and alarms, interlocks that coordinate with the equipment before and after your station, and clear data outputs your team can use for maintenance and production reporting

4) Build for the real world

Your equipment is fully built in Decatur, IL—from frames and decks to manifolds, wiring, and final assembly. We select materials and finishes for the environment (abrasion, chemicals, heat) and design easy access for servicing components, so maintenance is quick and easy.

5) Built. Tested. Ready to Run.

Before shipment, we put every system through extensive, real-world testing to confirm load handling, motion control, safety functions, cycle times, and operator workflows. As part of this process, we conduct a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at our Decatur, IL facility—and we invite your team to attend—so you can see the equipment perform under your requirements and leave with the documentation you need for a smooth start-up.

6) Installation & Team Training (Optional)

If you chose this service during purchase, our team can handle on-site installation and provide hands-on training for operators and maintenance teams. We focus on safe startup, proper use of controls, basic troubleshooting, and routine care—so your team is confident running and maintaining the equipment from day one.

What “Custom” Means To Us

Engineered for your load. From coils and dies to transformers and aircraft assemblies, we size structures and movement for actual mass, center of gravity, and handling needs.

Built for your floor. We assess your load requirements and floor conditions and then provide the right solution, either air-bearing, wheel-based, or hybrid.

Safe by design. Safety scanners, light stacks, horn/visual alarms, lock-out points, and clear operator workflows are considered from day one.

Serviceable. Access panels, quick-disconnects, standard components, and clean cable/hose routing reduce downtime when maintenance is due.

Built to Last. Heavy-duty frames, industrial-grade components, and service access deliver years of reliable use—equipment our customers trust and love to operate.

Custom Projects

AGV System

We engineered a custom wheeled transporter with AGV capability to move the large chassis through the plant. It integrates column and end-of-line lifts, a dual-component AGV (tugger + bogey) for maneuverability and cost control.

Flatbed Transporter

We engineered a 130,000-lb flatbed transporter to move heavy dies and prevent damage. It has directional lighting with pedestrian warning zones, safety-scanner stop zones, a non-slip deck, and a spring-loaded top for gentle die placement.

Air Bearing Platform

We built a custom air-powered platform using Airfloat Air Casters, combining a utility platform, pneumatic tugger, and low-profile turntable. It offers omni-directional movement, turntable for positioning load, and includes slide-out trays for fast service.

Typical Results You Can Expect

  • Higher throughput through faster, more predictable moves
  • Lower maintenance via right-sized components and clean access
  • Improved safety with engineered controls and clear operator feedback
  • Less floor damage by distributing loads correctly
  • Better ergonomics with decks, heights, and controls designed for real operators

Getting Started

  1. Share your challenge. Tell us about the loads, environment, throughput targets, and any safety or compliance rules.
  2. We propose options. You’ll see clear trade-offs for budget, capability, and expandability.
  3. We build and prove it. From drawings to FAT to implementation, you get one partner from start to finish.
