What’s the difference between a Mechanical Turntable and an Air Caster Turntable?

Mechanical Turntables can be used in environments without an air supply as required by our Air Caster Turntables. They’re also great for outdoor areas or situations where the ability to run for an extended amount of time is necessary.

What maintenance can I expect for Mechanical Turntables?

What’s the difference between Air Caster Turntables and Mechanical Turntables?

What kind of maintenance should I expect for the Air Caster Turntables?

Air Caster technology floats the load on a cushion of air, significantly reducing friction and allowing heavy loads to be rotated with minimal force. Because the Air Caster does most of the work, our tables require few moving parts and experience minimal wear and tear.

When maintenance is needed, our turntables feature slide-out trays for easy access to components. Regular maintenance, as outlined in the manual, and using the proper air settings with a clean and dry air supply, will prolong the lifespan.

How easy is it to repair or perform maintenance on the Air Caster Turntables?

We designed our Air Caster Turntables to make it simple and quick to replace all internal components; such as the drive, shock stops, the shot pin, and the air casters themselves.

What are the advantages to using Air Caster Turntables over Mechanical Turntables?

Our Pneumatic Tilt Tables are designed for stand-alone use or with bolt-on configurations with other equipment like our pneumatic lift and mechanical rotates.

Pneumatic Tilt Tables

Standard pneumatic tilt tables are available in a range of top sizes at 30° or 45° angles and can position loads that weight thousands of pounds. Safety features include a toe kick plate, two up-stop chains per actuator, a safety prop for maintenance, corner retainer, debris skirt, and enclosed base pan to protect internal components. As with all our ergonomic equipment, the Pneumatic Tilt is compatible with our Lift Tables and Rotates.

Align Mechanical Rotates allow for you to easily rotate parts containers or other heavy loads.

Mechanical Rotates

Offering bolt-on or standalone operation, our rotates use sealed, lubricated-for-life slewing bearings that are superior to cheaper wheels or cam rollers. The Mechanical Rotates are built to withstand the demands of manufacturing and are easy and safe to implement. Our Mechanical Rotates are available in a range of top sizes with capacities of thousands of pounds and our low profile design at just 4″ high. Other options include Pneumatic friction brakes, 90° and 180° spring lock pin, riser base with fork pockets, and corner locators to hold the container in place. In addition to standalone operation, our lift tables can be integrated into a solution with our lift tables or tilt tables.
