Round Air Caster Turntables

Air caster turntables use a thin cushion of compressed air to lift heavy loads off the floor and let them rotate freely with almost no friction. This makes them a strong fit for facilities that need to rotate large or awkward loads, such as aerospace fuselage sections, industrial tanks, or heavy machinery, especially in tight spaces where a crane or conventional turntable would not fit.

What kind of maintenance should I expect for the Air Caster Turntables?

Air Caster technology floats the load on a cushion of air, significantly reducing friction and allowing heavy loads to be rotated with minimal force. Because the Air Caster does most of the work, our tables require few moving parts and experience minimal wear and tear.

When maintenance is needed, our turntables feature slide-out trays for easy access to components. Regular maintenance, as outlined in the manual, and using the proper air settings with a clean and dry air supply, will prolong the lifespan.

How easy is it to repair or perform maintenance on the Air Caster Turntables?

Air Caster Turntables float the load on a thin film of air, allowing for nearly friction free rotation. Mechanical Turntables can be used in environments without an air supply as required by our Air Caster Turntables. They're also great for outdoor areas or situations where the ability to run for an extended amount of time is necessary.

Air Caster technology floats the load on a cushion of air, which cuts friction sharply and lets heavy loads rotate with very little force. Because the air caster does most of the work, these tables need few moving parts and hold up well over time.

When service is needed, the turntables use slide out trays that give quick access to internal components. Following the manual's maintenance schedule with clean, dry air will extend the unit's lifespan.

What is the difference between the Round Air Caster Turntable and the High Speed Air Caster Turntable?

The biggest difference is cycle time. A Round Air Caster Turntable can cycle in as little as 10 seconds, while the High Speed version can get down to 6 seconds. Capacity and overall height also differ between the two families to support that faster cycle time.

How easy is it to repair or perform maintenance on the High Speed Air Caster Turntable?

These turntables are designed so the internal components housed in the center, including the drive and the shot pin, can be swapped out quickly without much disassembly.
